SantaCon

With so much to do and so much to see, we decided to make things easier for you. We’ve created the ultimate NYC holiday roundup. From holiday markets, to pop-up bars, to shows – there’s something for everyone. Click through the links below to find all the info about what event you need to hit in NYC this winter. Get your drink on and be merry!

EVENTS:

Skating at Bryant Park

Free skating (if you bring your own skates) daily through March 4th!

Rockefeller Tree

The tree has been lit! Did you even go to NYC if you didn’t take a picture in front of the Rockefeller Tree?

Dyker Heights Christmas Lights Tour

A Slice of Brooklyn hosts a tour every night in December (excluding Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve). Explore the houses both on foot and by bus. Trust us, these decorations are legit.

Holiday Window Displays

Free and easy. Check out the famous winter window displays at Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman, Bloomingdale’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, Tiffany & Co. and more!

Unsilent Night

Created by composer Phil Kline, participants are asked to meet under the Washington Square arch with boom-boxes and are given a cassette or CD of one of four different atmospheric tracks (you can also come with just your cellphone and download the Unsilent Night app). Everyone presses play at the same time and marches through the streets of New York together, blending their music and filling the air with a beautiful echoing 45-minute piece.

SantaCon

This charity focused bar crawl is our favorite holiday event in New York. Everyone gathers wearing their best Santa suit and hits the bars on December 9th. Be sure to check their website for the starting locations and more!

Santa Suit 5k

Like SantaCon but with jogging. This 3.1 mile-long “race” can be completed by running or walking and finishes with dancing, drinking and eating.
