CNBC’s annual Battle of the Beer Labels has commenced, and the competition is fiercer than ever. This contest isn’t about which beer tastes the best; it’s all about creativity and is meant to celebrate brewers for their artistic and often amusingly irreverent beer labels. If you haven’t already, make sure to check out the CNBC website to watch the brewers collect votes in real time. It’s already Round 2, and the polls close tomorrow at 10 am, so go vote soon!
You can see all of the labels entered in the competition on the website, and some of them are downright awesome. A few notable contestants are Black Hog Brewing’s Ginga Ninja, Spiteful Brewing’s Working For The Weekend Double IPA, Against The Grain Brewery’s Citra Ass Down, and CB Brewing’s Caged Alpha Monkey IPA. You can just tell by their names that these are not your run-of-the-mill brews.
With over 4,000 breweries in operation across America, there is even more pressure to catch consumers’ attention. Brewers have to think of new creative ways to make people buy their beer, and some of them are doing a great job. Take Funky Buddha’s Nib Smuggler, for example. Who wouldn’t want to buy a beer that has a rich cow driving a speedboat on the label? So, don’t forget to visit the CNBC website. The finalists will be announced on March 23rd for the 4th and final round, so cast your vote and see who wins bragging rights for the best beer label in the nation!
