Red Robin, famous for their burgers and endless fries, is unfortunately dipping into the cocktail world this summer, a place they should stay far away from. Late last year they sunk Sam Adams to new lows with a beer milkshake, and now they’re dragging Blue Moon and Coors Light along with them.
Two new beer cocktails will soon make their way onto the Red Robin menu. Served in reusable beer cans (basically a glass that looks like a can), the two drinks are:
- Coors Light Can-Crafted Cocktail – a mix of Coors Light, ginger liqueur and lemonade.
- Blue Moon Can-Crafter Cocktail – a blend of Blue Moon, SVEDKA Clementine, orange juice and lime juice.
The signature drinks will be served throughout the summer for $5, at participating Red Robin locations. And if you can’t find one of these, don’t fret, because you’re not missing much.
We love a good beer cocktail, but we’re not sure about one that comes from a chain restaurant. If you try one of these, make sure to let us know.
My husband and I tried these the other day.
The Coors Light Cocktail heavily resembles a moscow mule in flavor which was really nice after a day of moving equipment for his job. (I wish we’d just had two of these.) The Blue Moon is… a Blue Moon? They didn’t stretch too much in the flavoring, assuming you drink Blue Moon with an orange wedge already.
We liked them, but I’d probably save my money and just order a Blue Moon if you’re thinking of going that direction.
I tried the Coors light cocktail, I could drink a lot of them and fast. Really good
Blue moon cocktail was amazing!!! Prefered it better than just a Blue Moon Beer. Very refreshing, great drink
