Bachelorette parties are a right of passage for all brides-to-be, but people still tend to wince when you tell them you’re going to attend one that evening. News flash: Not all bachelorette parties involve annoying screaming girls with loads of penis paraphernalia (though it’s totally cool if that’s your thing). There are many different types of brides out there, which means there are actually a lot of different ways people choose to plan bachelorette parties.
Here are a few of our favorite bachelorette party drinks for all types of brides:
The Classy Bride
We found a website that featured a super amazing bachelorette party and one of the best parts was a signature cocktail they created. It’s called “Louisville Lemonade” and its:
- One part Bourbon
- One part Peach Liqueur
- One part Lemonade
- Garnish with simple syrup to taste (and there were little stirrers with glittery golden hearts on them)
The Crazy Fun Bride
Okay, it wouldn’t be a bachelorette party article if we failed to provide a drink for the crew that likes to hit the town hard. You can’t go wrong with a hot pink cocktail. Mix all of these ingredients up in a shaker, pour into a profane glass and then top with a splash of ginger ale:
- 1.5 oz. Knob Creek
- 1 oz. Cranberry juice
- .75 oz. Pineapple juice
- .75 oz fresh Orange Juice
- .75 oz. fresh Lemon Juice
The “Just One of the Guys” Bride
Some brides would rather watch the big game than shop for a wedding dress, so when it’s time to celebrate, don’t force her to be a girly girl if she’s not. Why not try a beer cocktail? She’ll get some classic beer with a little twist to make it a little more celebratory. Try this recipe for The Fluttery Shandy, a refreshing summer cocktail:
- Pour 1.5 oz. Mariposa Agave Nectar Liqueur into a glass filled with ice
- Add 2 lime wedges, squeezed
- Top with 5.5 oz. lager beer
The Introverted Bride
If your bride is a little more introverted and prefers a night in to a night on the town, throw her a slumber party. Best part? Drinking in your pajamas (and no one has to be the designated driver). Since you’re staying in and have access to a kitchen and a freezer, we think an ice cream cocktail would be amazing. Okay, this is more than an ice cream cocktail…it’s an ice cream SUNDAE cocktail.
- Fill a sundae glass with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream
- Top with 40ml Patron XO Cafe (it’s Patron Silver Tequila combined with coffee liqueur) and Coca-Cola
- Add whipped cream, chocolate syrup and a cherry on top
