We’re keeping it classic this week and sipping on one of our favorites—a frozen strawberry daiquiri. A go-to beverage for both Ernest Hemingway and president John F. Kennedy, the strawberry daiquiri is the perfect flavor for this Fourth of July. You can make it like a slushy or even serve it on the rocks—either way this fruity, frosty drink screams summertime.
Possessing the sweet sensation of strawberry, this daiquiri is the ultimate excuse to take a seat, chillax, and enjoy an icy indulgence.
For one serving, you’ll need:
- 1.5 oz. Rum
- .75 oz. lime juice
- 1 oz. simple syrup (2 parts sugar—or Stevia for a healthier option—1 part water)
- 1 strawberry
- 6-10 ice cubes
In a blender, add all of the ingredients. Pulse until the mixture is smooth. Pour into a tall glass and garnish with a strawberry, cocktail umbrella, or lime slice. If you’re feeling bold, go for all three.
