Now that we’re finally a day away from All Hallows’ Eve, what better way to prepare than with a traditional treat – or a candy corn cocktail? After all, it is officially National Candy Corn Day, so why wouldn’t we celebrate the century-old sweet? According to the National Confectioners Association, an average of 35 million pounds (that’s about 9 billion kernels) of candy corn was manufactured this year. And from that batch, Americans will buy around 20 million pounds of kernels alone. Talk about some serious stats, are we right? So let’s put the corn to work and befriend some booze because we’re making the ideal Halloween Candy Corn Cocktail:
Candy Corn Cocktail: (1 serving)
- 1 ½ oz. Whipped cream or Vanilla flavored vodka
- 3 oz. sour mix
- 2 oz. pineapple juice
- ½ oz. grenadine
- Ice
- Whipped cream
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add all ingredients. Shake well and then pour into a martini glass. Carefully pour in the grenadine into mix so that it settles at the bottom. Top with whipped cream and enjoy!
