It may be freezing temperatures outside but that doesn’t mean your cocktail has to shy away from bright, refreshing flavors. We’re banishing our cold weather blues and making a Cuban classic this weekend.

 

The Bul (pronounced bool) is a sweet and gingery cocktail that you can find almost anywhere in Cuba. Here’s what you’ll need to make a batch for you and a friend. Or you can drink it all yourself.

 

  • 12 oz. beer, preferably pilsner
  • 12 oz. ginger beer
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • Lime juice (4-5 limes)
  • Crushed ice

 

Mix all the ingredients together and serve over ice. Garnish with a lime wedge and sip away.
