Who doesn’t love a good sandwich? Whether you’re a traditional peanut butter and jelly type of fellow or more of a cheeseburger fan, there’s always an option for everyone. That’s why today, for National Sandwich Day, we’re turning our favorite hobby into our favorite food: sandwich cocktails. Don’t be put off by these odd combinations, we assure you that if you love sandwiches as much as we do, you’ll find something special about each and every one of these tasty options:
Cheeseburger Cocktail: (1 serving):
- 1 oz. rum
- 2 Roma tomatoes
- 1 oz. iceberg lettuce water
- 1 oz. well-reduced beef stock
- salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp. toasted breadcrumbs (garnish)
- 1 tsp. dry mustard powder (garnish)
- 2 tbsp. aged Cheddar (garnish)
- 1 large kosher dill pickle (garnish)
Garnish:
Sprinkle cheddar in a pan over medium heat. Gather cheese in a circle and lightly brown on both sides. Remove and cool on a plate. Mix breadcrumbs with dry mustard. Wet rim of glass with pickle juice and dip in crumb mixture.
Cocktail:
Muddle tomatoes, add ice, and carefully pour in lettuce water. Stir rum and broth together in cocktail shaker. Float rum mixture over ice. Add salt and pepper and pour into already-garnished glass.

BLT Cocktail: (1 serving)
- 1 ½ oz. bacon-infused rum
- 2 oz. tomato juice
- 1 dash Worcestershire sauce
- 1 pinch celery salt
- 1 pinch Black pepper
- 1 squirt lemon juice
- 1 dash horseradish
- fresh cilantro
- 1 piece Bibb lettuce (garnish)
- 1 piece bacon (garnish)
- 1 slice avocado (garnish)
- 1 cherry tomato (garnish)
Garnish:
Wrap lettuce around avocado and bacon. Use a toothpick to secure with a cherry tomato.
Cocktail:
Pour all ingredients over ice and shake well, then strain over ice. Garnish and serve.

PB & Banana Cocktail: (1 cocktail)
- 4 oz. RumChata
- 1 ½ oz. spiced rum
- ½ oz. Banana liqueur
- 1 tsp. Peanut butter
- half peeled banana
- 1 scoop vanilla ice cream
- chocolate syrup (garnish)
Cocktail:
Add all ingredients to a blender and pulse until smooth. Pout in a tall glass and drizzle with chocolate syrup.
