BeerCampfire

Camping is one of the best parts of summer, so it’s no surprise the powers-that-be decided to name June as National Camping Month. Whether you’re spending one night in the great outdoors, or you make an extended vacation out of it, camping is all about the awesome food and drinks. You can worry about whipping up the good eats, but we will help you elevate your drinking experience beyond a cooler filled with beer cans (not that there’s anything wrong with that – canned beer is always welcome too).

The goal with campsite cocktails is simplicity. You don’t want to lug around multiple bottles of alcohol, glasses, or other bar tools, so you need to get back to basics. These drinks give you the most bang for your buck without weighing down your backpack.

Bailey’s and Marshmallows

Making this drink could not be any easier. In fact, it’s not even really a drink…it’s just the best idea ever.

  • Pour a little bit of Bailey’s in a cup.
  • Roast a marshmallow over the campfire.
  • Dip the marshmallow in the Bailey’s, while keeping the marshmallow on the roasting stick.
  • Eat the Bailey’s soaked marshmallow.
  • Die happy.

Skinny Peach Palmer

In addition to being easy to make, this Skinny Peach Palmer is also light, refreshing and easy on the waistline.

  • You’ll need 3 oz. of Crystal Light Tea and 3 oz. of Crystal Light Lemonade. It is up to you how you want to do this based on how much you want to carry into camp. You can make both Crystal Lights and mix them together ahead of time, or combine them with water when you get to the campsite. You can also keep the tea and lemonade in separate containers for anyone who wants a non-alcoholic drink.
  • To make one cocktail, combine 3 oz. Crystal Light Tea, 3 oz. Crystal Light Lemonade and 1.5 oz. Peach Vodka. Mix it up and enjoy.

Beerita

The Beerita is a big batch cocktail that you make ahead of time and serve from a big ole’ beverage cooler that has a spigot on it. Bring this camping and your friends are going to love you forever.

Mix all of the following ingredients together in the beverage cooler:

  • A bottle of good 100% agave tequila
  • 8 light beers
  • 2 cans of Minute Maid Limeade Concentrate
  • Juice from 2-4 limes, to taste.
  • 5lb bag of ice

If you bring 8 oz. plastic cups, this will serve about 12 people.

If you’re braving the great outdoors, don’t forget the booze.
