We love a good vodka infusion, especially when our favorite candy is involved. Nobody can resist a Sour Patch Kid so for those of you that love sweet and sour try this recipe. If you start now, you’ll have the perfect party shots for this weekend. You’ll need:
1 glass jar
Vodka (cheap or the good stuff, doesn’t matter)
Sour Patch Kids
Depending on how sweet you want your booze will determine the vodka/candy ratio. We suggest ½ cup of Sour Patch Kids for every cup of vodka you use. An expert tip: pick colors that blend well together so you don’t end up with brown booze. (Red, orange and yellow or green and yellow work well – or better yet, do a batch of each color.) Fill the jar and let it sit for at least 24 hours while shaking occasionally. The longer you let it sit and the more often you shake, the better. Strain the vodka, pour and enjoy.
If you’re impatient, try our old dishwasher vodka trick. Let us know how it goes.
P.S. You’re left with vodka soaked Sour Patch Kids. Eat them.
