Budweiser has revealed their latest (slightly creepy) innovation. The “Buddy Cup,” is a cup that makes you Facebook friends with someone when you clink glasses. Creepy, right?
Each “Buddy Cup,” comes with a QR code that the drinker scans and automatically connects to your Facebook profile. All you have to do is bump your cup with someone else’s and you’re automatically friends. See you later privacy settings.
We think this is a bad idea, especially when there’s alcohol involved. Good thing this is only a test product in Brazil right now, however it could be making its way to the U.S. soon. We’ll stick with our normal plastic cups, thanks.
