5 Reasons to Drink This Weekend

We’re not the type of people who need a reason to drink. If we’re breathing that’s reason enough. But for those of you who need more, here you go:

1. Columbus Day: Thanks to Christopher and his knack for discovery, we have Monday off. So cheers to Columbus and his trip in 1492.
2. SNL: This weekend marks the 38^th anniversary of the hit NBC standup comedy show. Raise your glass to the legends of comedy like Chris Farley, Will Farrell and Tina Fey.
3. The Jonas Brothers: They’re breaking up. To their 10 diehard fans, we pour out a little liquor and drink for your pain.
4. MLB: The road to the World Series has been paved: Red Sox v. Tigers and Dodgers v. Cardinals. Whatever team you’re rooting for, do it with a beer.
5. Shutdown: We’re supposedly close to a deal; we’ll believe it when we see it. Until then, we’ve got a drink in hand.
